The Ace Hotel and Swim Club

I surprised Tanya with a weekend trip out to Palm Springs. Forecast called for rain all weekend. However, Saturday cleared up and it turned out to be a beautiful day in the desert. We walked around the town looking at junk and ended up hanging out by the pool surrounded by snow covered mtns.

The new Ace Hotel in Palm Springs is amazing! Being their opening weekend, the staff went over the top to make our stay unbelievable. A side note, upon our check in, one of the hotel's staff in a low voice said, "we have a large group of fraternity and sorority people here from UCLA. Please, at anytime let us know if they are ruining your time here or if they are being too loud." Apparently, while we were out exploring the town, some serious frat games were going on poolside. We totally missed the "action" if you will. Anyway, on to the goods.
